Hello I'm new to Calibre and could use some help😂

My name is Lisa and I'm not a technical person but I love to read and I discovered Caliber after my last Kindle died. I was browsing new devices looking for one that would have more options. Mainly having multiple color options (like a color wheel?) to change the background color of the pages. I don't think such device exists. That's when I discovered Calibre.
Since my Kindle died I've been reading on my android smartphone using the Kindle app. So I installed Caliber on my Surface Pro 7 Windows 10 which has Kindle for PC. I added my books to Caliber but they will not convert to MOBI. It seems like the books look like they are there but I keep getting error messages that there are no books found. And the book on the right in blue has no path, no author, no format code or anything. I've tried over and over and I'm truly at a stand still. Can someone PLEASE help me?

Have you installed the Alf plugin? If not, it can be had here:

Without the Alf plugin books with DRM cannot be converted. Not every book has DRM (digital rights management), but many do.
