Fire apps that sync w/ Outlook calandar & contacts

Looking for an easy way to import the many Outlook calendar dates and contact info so that I don't have to spend hours retyping.

This isn't quick to set up, but I found that it worked with my Motorola Atrix (which cannot directly sync with Outlook) and works with my KFire. Warning, it is a bit kluge, but once set up it is automatic. Also it only works with calendars and not Contacts. It has been a while since I did this, so please Google for specific info--actually just go to the Google support pages for help.
  1. Set up a Google Calendar.
  2. Install software from Google that syncs your Outlook calendar(s) with Google calendar(s)
  3. Install a KFire app like CalenGoo that can directy sync with Google calendars

Note, KFire does not have Google services/accounts installed and does not allow them without rooting. Since these services are used by many Android calendar apps to sync with Google calendars, those apps won't sync on the KFire. So look around for on that can sync without those services, like CalenGoo.

I haven't been able to solve the contacts syncing issue though.

Thanks for the suggestion. I had planned to research that very possibility. I appreciate all your posts and suggestions on this forum. I have been lurking for months and have learned a great deal.

You are quite welcome! If you do find a more direct way to sync calendars and contacts, especially contacts, between Outlook and Android please let us know. Even the closed iOS system allows that, but Google seems adverse to it for some reason. At least they make it as complicated as they can.
