Mine has been shipped from Tiger today, sweet!!! Still says $109.04, so there's no turning back for them now as it's in USPS Priority Mail's hands. Can't wait, plus I just broke the good news to the expectant owner (she's psych'd!).

Sorry, MacBeezle, but I'm afraid you're you're mistaken.

The ConnStore accounts can handle up to 6 devices per account, one of them must be a Computer (the one accessing the account). So you can put up to five Readers on a single account.

We've had a number of folks here in the past who have put two Readers on the same account, and gotten both credits. The credits are tied to the initial registration of the Reader on any ConnStore account, it does not have to be a new account, only a new Reader.

In fact, doing it this way is what Sony itself recommended, so that books could be easily shared amongst family members, etc.

This has been confirmed more than once, by several different folks.

There is always a successor to anything. Those expensive R&D have to be kept active. What it is and when it comes out is politics, now that is as volatile as a rumo(u)r.

My wife and I have two readers on one connect account. We bought them soon after the reader came out (late last Fall). We had no problem getting two $50 credits, exactly as offered on the first 'free Connect store credit' offer.

Could be anything. Sony might not have liked having a product downpriced and may have slowed the flow of deliveries intently. Who knows! Everything is subject to discussion here!

Hey, I've heard that rumor too! (in the post above this one)

Isn't it supposed to fold up to the size of a legal envelope, and run on a single watch battery for 18 months of hard usage?

Yeah. And in the event of a water landing, it can be used a flotation device.
