PW can't connect to internet - no winterbreak

Hi guys,
my PW1 is on Firmware 5.6.1.1 and I followed the instructions from the k.modding page in order to jailbreak it using winterbreak2. I made it at least to the point where to enter and load the special URL. But neither this nor any other page would open, it's always the same error saying sth. like "error loading this site".
My assumption is that the beta browser is not working properly, is that even possible?
My Kindle has been reset before the process, I purchased it recently.
No amazon account was linked after that.
In my router I can see my Kindle connected to my wifi, but no internet access.

Hope, anyone can help me here?

I also have a PW1 running 5.6.1.1 and cannot load the website. I was able to load other websites, and I can load the wb2 site on my computer.

I hope someone has an explanation/fix because I don't want to see this PW become ewaste.

You're trying to use wrong jailbreak method for the device you're jailbreaking.
PW1 is the only Kindle on v5.x firmware branch that can be "downgraded" to older firmware without requiring to already be jailbroken.

Simply download and copy the older 5.4.x update bin > copy it to your PW1 and without ejecting from your computer and without disconnecting the USB cable press and hold the power button on your PW1 for 20 seconds or more to force a reboot. On reboot it will start installing the older 5.4.x firmware.

Once downgraded you simply use the old jailbreak that supports "up to" firmware 5.4.x to jailbreak.

After successful jailbreak install the newest version of hotfix > update back to firmware 5.6.1.1 > reinstall the hotfix again. And the rest of the stuff that you need / want.
