Device: Kindle PW2 5.12.2.2
Unhappy MRPI installation issue: PW2 5.12.2.2

Hi, I successfully jailbroke my device with WInterbreak, following the instructions at Kindle Modding Wiki. I've been able to install KUAL and KoReader, following instructions there/found on this forum, but have not been able to successfully install MRPI on the device.
I initially followed instructions here: https://kindlemodding.org/jailbreaki...ing-kual-mrpi/
Then here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=251143

The initial kindle modding wiki instructions just ask for 'extensions' and 'mrpackages' folders from extracted MRPI.zip to be moved to kindle's root folder. That didn't work... Following NiLuJe's 'MobileRead Package Installer, post on this forum (2nd link above), I moved all contents of extracted MRPI.zip to root... This was a different MRPI.zip that I downloaded from Kindle Modding Wiki, which I obtained from the 'Snapshots' sticky as directed by the post... Still no dice.

Then I noticed in the Installation Spoiler of NiLuJe's post it says: "You should end up with an extensions folder (with an MRInstaller subfolder) and an mrpackages folder at the USB root of your device." BUT when extracting the MRPI.zip obtained from either location, the 'MRInstaller' folder is NOT a subfolder of 'extensions'. It is its own separate folder, so I moved it into the 'extensions' folder hoping that that might solve the problem... Nope.

The Kindle Modding Wiki instructions end with searching ';log mrpi' on the device to install. Every time I do so, I get the banner 'MRPI is not installed' at the top left of the device screen.

To install KUAL, I followed the troubleshooting advice on Kindle Modding WIki,
copy 'the Update_KUALBooklet_hotfix_*_install.bin file to the root of your Kindle when connected to your PC, and then go to Settings > Update Your Kindle'
using the KUAL hotfix extracted from the 'Snapshots' sticky file. KoReader, I just followed the Kindle Modding Wiki instructions for install and it worked, even though MRPI is stated as a prerequisite at the beginning of the the instructions...

I do not have an MRPI entry in KUAL as I should, to my understanding, and I'm gonna need it for desired functionality (using kindle as secondary display for laptop via VNC/webserver, to read textbook .pdf files in a functional format). I'm new to kindle modding, but have rooted a handful of androids and and run linux on my pc, so have at least basic tech know-how (but not much more)... Anyhow, any help moving forward would be appreciated! <3
