And this is interesting (to me). I have Kindle for PC 1.17.1 on my laptop. When I try to send an epub using the app, it isn't listed in the "deliver to:" (the laptop is listed on the website devices page).

1.17 is too old now.
Besides unless you are reading or buying or borrowing on current version of App, the Send To Kindle Web page is better, and needs no install. Also works on Mac, Android, Windows and Linux. CPU type irrelevant. Maybe also Safari on iOS. |

Yes, I know. I was trying to save a step: Send To Kindle is listed as a Printer, I was trying to print something to it from Safari, rather than saving to PDF and then doing something with it.
Since I didn't want to save it in cloud (it is just crossword puzzle) I wound up using the web Send To Kindle instead. I think Send To Kindle used to be a Sharing option as well. But I could be wrong about that. In any case there is no longer such an option. |

And as long as I check Archive document..., it does in fact make things more efficient for sending web content than saving to PDF (not to mention PDF not being preferred most of the time). Last edited by tomsem; 02-16-2023 at 09:36 PM. |

Mac and Windows can have PDF "printers". Select that, on Print Web page, then use Send to Kindle Web Page.
But if Amazon were not making this into a service they can easily monetize later you could simply copy direct to the Scribe via USB, or even a Browser on the Scribe. It's an idiotic system and so needless complicated that they must be wanting to have a subscription for it eventually. |

I don't think I've used the Kindle's so called web browser in years.

I figured I just put this here since it's not too big of a topic to make its own thread and it's related to send to kindle.
Currently, the display cover for documents when the Kindle is asleep is not working. It just shows the generic Kindle wallpapers. From this reddit thread, it seems like people started noticing it starting yesterday. One user reported that it happened to some people a few weeks ago. Amazon might be slowly implementing this across all of their Kindles since it's happening gradually, or we're just the few unlucky ones chosen as test subjects. Or some intern is unhappy with Amazon and decided to mess about. I hope it's not permanent. This is kinda annoying since I just recently made blank books for custom wallpapers. Anyway, it's only happening if your Kindle is online, so if you like the book covers and your Kindle has been on airplane mode for a while, better not take it out of it. |

My Kindle Oasis has the latest firmware and is always online. I am still seeing covers when I turn off the device both for purchased and send-to-kindle books.

What I would like is to see are covers for PDFs sent to my Scribe (basically an image of whatever first page is).
Of course they're no longer PDFs, but in Print Replica format. |

I have a basic kindle (newest version) and recently the covers stopped showing up in sleep mode for send-to-kindle books. Luckily the covers still show on the home page (in my library).

The covers seem to be back on the lock screen this morning, on my basic kindle and PW.
