Blank Cover on sleeping screen

I have a Kobo mini on firmware 3.19.5761-s. The book in question was bought from Kobo. Cover displays fine in the library list and on my other ereader but not on the sleeping screen of the mini. Its fine inside calibre and the image is on the first page of the book. What could be the problem and how can I fix it?

You could try updating the firmware to 4.34.20097

You want to use the firmware for the Kobo Go which is also a kobo4 hardware version.

This way, you'll get better support as this is the firmware that most of us are running. 3.19.15761 is very old and a lot of Kobo users have never used it so have no idea how it works.

To update the firmware, copy the contents of the ZIP file to the .kobo directory on your Mini. Then eject your Mini from the computer and it will eventually start to update the firmware. Once the screen changes after the eject, unplug the USB cable.

I would recommend updating the firmware. But I don't think that is the cause of your problem.

Go into your settings and make sure you have it set to display the book cover on the sleep screen.

I don't have my Kobo handy and my firmware is much newer than yours, so I can't remember the exact place to look. Sleep and power settings, I think?

I don't know if there is such an option on that old a firmware.

I'm pretty sure 3.19 was the firmware my 6" Aura came with (or it's the last with the tiled home screen and the Aura came with something even older), but yeah, it's there.

I know because when I first got my Aura it defaulted to the FNAC logo as sleep screen. I had to update the affiliate, which then gave me the option to set book cover as my sleep screen.

Correct. Settings, under Sleep and Power
And before Jon tries to "correct" me, I just booted up my Mini to check. (and yes, it is on 3.19.5761)

But the question for the OP is, does this occur with other books or just this one?
