Send to Kindle as a book

Is it possible to send to the kindle cloud as a book instead of as a document?

Both with the send to kindle application and email they always appear as a document in my Kindle.
And when side loading the files they just do not appear in the cloud.

It's a lot easier to just use Calibre to side load via USB.

Sorry, I forget to add in (as has already been mentioned) that it's not possible unless you side load via USB.

Why it may not be easier, it can achieve the result you want.

To download books from cloud you need latest version of kindle for pc. This will show books that used the send to kindle

If you don't have a kindle. You will need the send to kinde app from Amazon for pc

No, it is not possible. When uploading a file through the Amazon cloud, the file’s metadata is modified in various ways by Amazon. Notably, the document type is changed to PDOC, regardless of what was in the original file. Therefore all files sent to the cloud will appear as “Documents”. There is unfortunately no way around this.

I'm having trouble understanding your double negative.

To me, it sounds like the OP wants the ebook in the Amazon cloud AND as a book.

Your double negative, sounds to me, like they can do it by side loading via USB, which I believe isn't true.

What I mean is the only way to get the eBook loaded onto the Kindle as a book is to side load. Syncing is not how to get it done. It doesn't work.

And to get it into the cloud, the only way is to use Send to Kindle or through email. Side loading doesn't work.
