Okay. So now that Kobo has enabled advanced font controls across the board, how about listing all fonts in alphabetical order, rather than splitting preloaded and sideloaded?

These are the good ones, these have cooties?

Should the library also sort first books from Kobo and then sideloaded? Perhaps with an obvious line separating them?

Can anyone enlighten me on why separating sideloaded fonts from system fonts is better than listing them all alphabetically? What is the advantage, in your opinion?

I know what the system fonts are, and generally I don’t use any of them. So dividing sideloaded fonts makes it easier to find them as they’ve got their own section.

But when you are choosing a font, do you not know the name of it?

For me, it would be nice to not have to scroll to pick Bookerly, Literata Book or ChareInk.

Publisher default never gets any modifications from other settings. So that’s probably working as intended.

As for selecting the font a second time you should not need to. Just tap advanced settings and change the weight of the font. It should automatically be the one you’d already had in use.

My font is Literata Book and when I click Advanced, Literata Book is already populated in the drop down.

I tried setting the font as Publisher Default and in Advanced it chose the first available font.
