It's possible to enable advanced font settings for every font?

Hi everyone,
I'm now into the font tunnel. I was thinking if there is any way to enable the advanced font settings with every font.
That feature is great but if it's avaible only for some of them it's a pity.

I don't work for Kobo or know what it entailed behind the scenes.

But as an outsider, it's stupid that it took this long to roll it out. The patch has been available for how long now? I started a thread about this a while ago.

The two things Kindle had better then Kobo was upping the font weight on side loaded fonts and a better dictionary. Now Kobo has both and Kindle doesn't seem to have much in the way of features that Kobo is missing.

I played with the Advanced font settings on quite a few fonts. Some of them worked fine while for others, the best I can say is that the results were interesting. I suspect that Kobo's staff did not want to deal with people complaining that "I upped the weight of the fonts and some characters are now unreadable."

I've had Power Search installed on calibre pretty much since it was released in July, 2020. I've made use of it's capabilities perhaps 5 times since installing it. All things considered, I'll take Kobo's ability to import books rapidly over having global search and taking hours to import and index books.

Considering the number of threads about the formatting on emailed books being modified, not something that I am that interested in.

If you really need that capability, you could check out the [WIP] KoboMail - send ebooks by email to kobo devices thread.

I wouldn't bother to search in Calibre (too many books, I only have a tenth of my whole library on my Kobos), but I certainly would on the device itself. Indexing would be pretty annoying, though, that's true.

It was the only patch I used so I’m really pleased it’s now rolled out.
