Maybe you could ask your little bookshop if there is something similar they offer or if they could try to initiate something like it with their stockist. |

In my town, the only non-chain bookshops are both strictly secondhand booksellers, selling no new books at all. Since I don't read paper books, I never visit them.

Sorry if this has been asked already. What version of Kendal for PC with the tools work for. Last I knew it was a really old version. Example being, download the book through kendal, take the book and run it through Calibre. Thanks.

You can check the Dealing with Kindle for PC/Mac 1.19 and KFX in calibre in the calibre forum for more information. |

I wonder if anyone could help. I am trying to convert my library ebooks from epub to kindle format. When I try and upload the latest Apprentice Alf dam removal tools I get an error message. Invalid syntax line 168. Which means nothing to me! Is there anything I can do to get Alf's very helpful piece of kit to work? Or is there another option?

I.e. Linux Mint 20.2, calibre 3.48, DeDRM tools 10.0.2 And if you mean books that you have borrowed from a library, that is not supported. To quote from Apprentice Alf's blog: Quote:

Thank you I will look at the first post on this thread and hope that helps. My problem is that I have issues with my vision and very much prefer to read in Kindle's Dark mode rather than using my old Kobo. I wouldn't want to strip out the DRM except for that.
I work on an Apple with Catalina 10.15.7 Calibre 5.38 and the latest Alf version The older version I had of Calibre allowed me to change format. Should I try and go back to a previous version? |

https://github.com/noDRM/DeDRM_tools Also, depending on how old your Kobo is, you may be able to use dark mode. Look into NickleMenu. |

Hello I'd like to keep a pdf backup copy (or any other free format) of all my kindle's books "just in case" something could go wrong with kindle in the future.
I made some tests using Calibre (latest version) with DeDrm 10.0.2 plugin and I was able to save a pdf copy of some books (AZW files), but not all of them. There's a book that can't be converted (neither viewed since it takes long for opening the viewing window and at the end is displayed with a mess of unreadable characters) so I'm looking for advice. I was not able to convert that book using Mac versions of both Kindle and Calibre, neither with Windows versions...(but same DeDrm plugin version 10.0.2) I don't realize why ONLY that book (till now at least, since I tried with just a few books...) can't be converted ![]() |
