just for precision, i confirm, as i installed it, that edx video and the occasional embedded video in a newspaper website works reasonably fine in a2 mode.
Youtube app is, of course, not installed by default, neither i tried it

Another Onyx Boox Nova seller
Right now https://www.ectaco.com/ has the Onyx Boox Nova for sale, and they appear to be a US seller. I've debated but I'm going to exercise patience and wait for the Note Pro this spring.

Seriously considering on getting a Nova. I own 2 Kobos and very satisfied with these until the newer readers became too expensive for me (Nova is just USD240 vs Forma USD330). Nova: I'm concerned about its boot time from power OFF and battery life (I prefer power off over standby to avoid charging often). Any infos on these?

Not sure about the Nova, but my Note takes about 50 seconds from being off to boot up. Am very content with the battery life on my Note when the wifi is off.

I timed my Nova at 44 seconds from being off to full boot up. Battery life with wifi off is good.

Thanks! I bit the bullet and it's on its way. I can live with about 40+ secs boot time so long as the battery charge stays longer. Surely the KA1 boots faster, but still ok since I'm getting better features on the Nova.
