Do you mean the GoodReads plugin?
Also anybody who wants to reduce the size of an e-book that is just massive for some unknown reason try you own custom CSS style sheet https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51500 this worked for a few unruly books I had.

Check out the PI Index : Metadata Source (a ways down the list) https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=118764 There are quite a few there. If there is not, you might supply the particulars in the PI sub-forum. Maybe someone will step forward |

Perhaps the one that gets metadata could be 'renamed' to "Goodreads Metadata".

But, that would make it inconsistent with all the other metadata source plugins. They are all simply the name of the site they handle. The other Goodreads related plugin is called "Goodreads Sync". The description of both plugins everywhere I can find them is clear as to which one is for getting the metadata.

Yeah I noticed that now but when I installed what must be GoodReads Sync it shows up as just GoodReads in the menubar Anyway they're easy enough to tell apart with the descriptions. I just wasn't paying attention and assumed their was only one GoodReads plugin.

@KayLee - you're not the only person to confuse them, I know of a few, mainly older people or Non-Anglo's. Just imagine a world without verbs - we'd have nothing to do

OK, the label and tooltip used for the button is just "Goodreads". I'll change it to use "Goodreads Sync" as the label and a better description for the tooltip.

Okay got one more question then I'll stop harassing you guys
Is their any automated way to remove extra excerpts and stuff at the end of books? I use edit book to do it now and it only 10 to 30 seconds to cleanup a book it's just that going through 300 book doing it like that is a bit monotonous.

@KayLee- you might be able to work up a function mode S&R in the editor, see Function Mode for Search & Replace in the Editor
But that exhausts my knowledge of it - i.e. the fact that it exists. If its very regular - ie always the last 37 lines then you could use a command file to a) unpack the file, b) run a line editor like TECO or ed to remove the lines c) repack the epub.
