That just took me to the help page.
That is the touch screen kindle with the physical home button.
All except K1, K2 and K3 have been called the basic kindle because they have no special features like lights.
Basic as in Not Premium. Not Basic as a name.
Oh and on the other question, it is the Fire Stick. There is also a Fire Tv. They will not be on the kindle page.

I guess we all interpret their text differently. My interpretation is that the Oasis has a USB port, and the cover attached to the Oasis with magnets. The connection between device and cover is a QI wireless charging connection. Hence, when cover and device is attached and charging the cover battery gets is charge and then when detached the device uses its own battery, when reattaching the cover the battery in the device will be topped off from the cover.

There are a couple shots floating around that show the Oasis in profile with the cover attached. It does still provide some grip as it still comes out a bit from the cover. But it isn't as much as without the cover of you have larger hands.

It can be both! Amazon states that they base their battery life estimates on a half hour a day of reading. (I think that part is misleading, but it appllies to their other Kindle devices too.) You get the longer battery life as long as you put the main unit back into the cover for a significant portion of the remaining 23.5 hours of each day. That doesn't seem very difficult.

ETA: You should be able to prorate the battery time for increased usage as long as you don't exceed about six hours of reading in a single session, which seems very reasonable to me.

Also, not always is it necessary to leave the cover off. When I read in bed I usually lay on my side with Voyage propped up like a tent with the cover (I have an bookstyle cover). My head is sideways already, so why not have the book do the same.

I really like the Oasis concept, but I feel they messed up badly on 3 details.

1. 250 mAh battery. As someone pointed out earlier in the thread, the constant charging/draining is going to cause the battery to fail sooner than it should.

2. No usb port on the case? What are they thinking! The case needs to charge independently. Maybe adapters for the magnet connection will appear, but then it's one more thing to carry, keep track of and eventually misplace.

3. A cover that's only 3/4 of a cover. I've got a serious hate thing going on about scuffed up expensive electronic devices.

Maybe someday a third party will make a cover the right way and A. will sell the Oasis without their cover.

I know quite a few of you are concerned whether the case could be charged on its own. I was able to locate a picture of the back of the oasis that verifies the case accepts its own power cord. See attached picture:
