Tantor Media, Audio Editions, Downpour, ChristianAudio, Audible, and probably some that I've forgotten, are all having audiobooks on sale right now. I'm either going to have to rob a bank or take out a loan!

A couple of factoids about the sale:
1. the selection is probably about 75% fiction. as melmac said, there are some excellent titles. i know that to be true about the non-fiction. a super deal is the great courses' history of london. at $27.95, i think that it is, regular price audible has it much cheaper than great courses to begin with--i didn't check, but i suspect that their regular price for the course is about $50.
2. listener light members are excluded. i tried to buy a couple of the audiobooks as a l.l. member, but only the regular prices showed up. i called customer support and they said that we're excluded. seems like we were eligible for such sales previously. but, it is what it is.

I've never used AudioBooks.com before, so I'm not familiar with them at all. Does anyone know if there's a way to save audiobooks from AudioBooks.com to a PC, as an MP3 for example?

Someone mentioned on this thread (I think. If not, I learned it somewhere else.) that Christianaudio.com is having a $7.49 download sale on most audiobooks. That's a good deal, for the most part.

I just noticed that they have been marking down even lower, each week, two audiobooks, to only $4.99 each. Those are also downloads only.

This week's (June 26-July 2) titles are:
Where the Wind Leads, by Vinh Chung.
The Seraph Seal, by Leonard Sweet.

Unfortunately, this appears to be the next to last week of the $4.99 specials.

I didn't get the original email, but did get one saying there was one more day to use four credits to get a $10 coupon. Which I duly did before the deadline, but have not received the coupon, which was due to drop by the end of the day yesterday.

So, another call to Audible that I'll have to make. I'm glad their customer service is so responsive, I just wish it weren't necessary for them to be responsive so often.

Today only, not sure if you have to be an Audible member to see this special price. Great buy at $3.95. I bought all the abridged Chandlers at Audible many years ago so it's nice to get the unabridged versions now. Loved Elliott Gould's narration but must get used to Ray Porter's interpretation. But Chandler is always worth listening to, in my opinion.
