They are collections I put in favorites from the kindle app. Or well, build in app. I'll just leave them.
I still can't find the previous now empty folders. They still show when adding stuff but they call them collections?
Still confused a bit.

eat: Let me see if I can explain this a bit better. I have created today 3 folders/collection. Library, Tools and Reading. But when I long press something on the home page to add it to a folder/collection, it lists available Library, Tools and the 2 invisible ones Apps1 and books. It does not list the Reading folder as an option to add anything. And I cannot find a way to delete the apps1 and the books folder anywhere. There are apps in each. So the Scribd app is in there in both. But I don't currently have the Scribd app in folder on the home page. Its just there.
I don't know how to explain this so its not so confusing. But the folders I created the other day, I can't see them, I cant delete them, but they show up every time I long press something to add as an option. Yet one of the visible folders "reading" does not show up as an option to add something.

I a getting more and more confused by the minute.
There are App collections and then there are Other collections that you can put 'collectable items' (Books, Audiobooks, Periodical issues, or Docs) into. You cannot mix Apps and Other items. So depending on what you long press on, you can only add to one or the other collection type. You can select more than one item to Add to Collection, but they have to be the same type (App or Other)

You can also create and delete App collections in the Apps 'tab', similarly with Books/Docs/Audiobooks/Issues in their respective tabs. You can also select items in Carousel and add to Collection from there.

Deleting from a Collection is more problematic than it used to be (with the latest update). You actually have to open a given collection to delete items from it. And of course that assumes you know which Collection to open first. One used to be able to long press an item and see which collections it was in, and add/delete its memberships.

It's ironic that even with a kindle Fire and a Kindle Voyage I still prefer to move books around Collections using my ipad app

I did as you suggested, and then used it off and on to read all day. It still dropped to 60% from full.

Then I decided to try to add dictionary support to Moon Pro. Side loaded ColorDict, but when I went to use it, it wanted to download something, and opened Silk, which froze and restarted the tablet. I never had that happen, but then, I only used Silk the first day I got it, until I got Chrome installed.

(No way to use ColorDict, it wants to download the data but goes to the Play store for that).

Thank you Thank you
Now I know how to get rid of the extra app collections. You just saved me a lot of aggrevation. And you talking about app collections and media type collections makes sense now. No wonder some stuff couldn't go in where I wanted. This is so helpful.

Now I also found the "reading" collection. Making that one on homepage actually adds yet another collection in my book cloud.
I guess it makes sense now why.
I am able to put books and audiobooks in the same reading collection and that collection now shows in audiobook tab. Yay.

eta: Oh, and now I get why no matter how hard I try I can't put 3 of the items in favorites in any of the collections. Those are large collections I long pressed from the book tab. Can't put a collection inside a collection and now I know that it doesn't just mean separate home page type collections, but all collections, including those already created in books.

Just Sideload the dicdata folder from your other tablet. When you open Colordict it will index what is in that folder. I've been doing this since the first Kindle Fire without issues.

Just a quick tip. Using ES File Explorer Send option you can transfer files, folders and apps between devices with just a few clicks. Just make sure the app is open on both devices for it to work. Much easier than Bluetooth or Dropbox.

It's great for sideloading apps because you don't have to back them up first. Just go to app manager check the apps and click send and it sends the app to the other device.

I should have clarified, the dictionary is for use with Moon Reader Pro. I assume there is one on there for Kindle books, I didn't have to download anything for that, you probably do have one Monkey.

I do believe both devices has to be on the same WiFI network but it's so much faster than any file transfer app I have used in the past.
