Calibre problems
Hi from 3cdsta to MobileRead users. Not only is this my first intro on this site it is my first ever entry on any Forum. I am lost really and not sure what to do next! I found this site by trying to get some help from Calibre. I have been using this site for my ebooks and converting them as necessary to MOBI for my Kindle. Conversion is always only poor with some very poor. To be fair, Calibre does say that conversion from pdf is the poorest and many of my ebook purchases have been pdf. However that is not my problem today. I have been using calibre for several months and twice now I have lost my complete Library. The first time was soon after I started and I thought it must have been caused by me and simply re-loaded everything. the second was last night and I am not happy! Everytime I open Calibre I get a request to upgrade to next version and always do so. What appears to be a total deletion of my Library occurs when this happens. Calibre opens on the library page and it is entirely blank. I have assumed everything is deleted but I suppose the list may be hidden somewhere. If it is, I cannot find it. Can anyone help?

Well, since this is the Introduce Yourself Forum - and not the calibre forum - I doubt that you'll get AS MANY responses here that you would from the calibre forum.

In this forum, members introduce themselves, which makes sense, considering the name of the forum.

If you have questions about calibre, you might wish to go to the calibre Forum. That's the place where members ask questions about calibre. There are MANY helpful members there who can give advice, etc.
