That's what I just loooove about this place, great news about fine print and changlogs I hardly ever read....

Thanks for the headsup, this is yet another refinement to that awesome Calibre!!!!!

I seem to remember reading somewhere that it's a Spoonerism on Box Deluxe, which was once the premier offering from Meccano (a model construction system once beloved by British boys of all ages).

do I have to delete my books from the kindle and then send them again to the device for the page numbers to show??

The short answer is Yes. You need to do this via Calibre for non-Amazon purchases, or the page nos. won't show.

I am experiencing the same as Soapy. I got the page numbers to show up by transferring via USB, but the page numbers shows when I hit menu rather than simply by the percentage bar. I am wondering what I am doing incorrectly?

That is what Kindle does - the idea evidently is to eliminate 'distractions'. You aren't doing anything wrong.
