Kindle 3.1 page numbers and calibre issues
Page numbers do appear however the page count is roughly twice the number as the actual book

is anyone else having this issue

Yes, everyone who decided to pay attention has seen this issue, read this thread for details.

The calibre generated page numbers will never match up with the printed book exactly. However user_none has fine tuned it and in the next release, by default, it will be much closer in its guesstimate.

There will also be a tweak in the next release to allow calibre to make a more detailed analysis and be even more accurate but this means books may transfer to your device slower due to the overhead of calculating page numbers.
