My tea order arrived ! Apparently the mailman delivered it yesterday, it's been lying on the counter at the bistro downstairs. The owner called me over just now to deliver it to me.

All the teas were delivered in a good-looking canister, they look nice standing on my kitchen shelf.

First thing I did was smell all of them. Man, that strawberry & Cream infusion smells like bubblegum. I like it

The one I was most curious about was the Rooibos Crème Caramel, so I tried that first. I'm usually not good at following instructions regarding brewing times but I thought: I spend all this money on fancy tea, I might as well do it right. So I set a timer. I'm sipping it as I'm typing this. It has a pretty interesting flavour. Not really what I thought it would taste like, but it's good.

Unfortunately, my brother and sister are coming over for dinner in about 15 minutes. So I'll probably won't get the chance to try the rest tonight. But tomorrow, definitely!

Enjoy! The rooibos and black teas are less sensitive then the green and white teas. Just so you know.

Do you know that you are not supposed to drink from this type of drinking bowls? You should sip tea in small amounts with an audible sound. That way tea entering your mouth properly washes all of taste buds. It is almost like drinking whisky
This sound might be considered rude in some societies but I think in Japan and China it is an norm and the way to drink tea? Anybody?

I am sorry to hear that you have a bad headache after the lumbar puncture. This happens sometimes and nearly always settles in a few days. Drink plenty of fluids, especially with caffeine and remain horizontal as much as you can. Then get up slowly. You can also use ibuprofen or other appropriate analgesia.
I definitely have been doing it from the moment I returned from Cambridge's hospital
What I find frustrating is
Spoiler:
sources on the Internet, the nurse who did the LP, the leaflet they gave me to read before I signed the papers, all of them claim that the headache should be over in 24 hours. When it does NOT show any sign of capitulation after 24+24+6 hours of nightmare, I learn that it might take a few days and it is normal. I am proud of myself to weather it without any painkiller and experience what I have read many times in books: the pain might be so intense that it can make you throw up, everyday we learn something new

Have drunk a lot of black tea. I am disappointed in Twinings loose tea English Breakfast. Dull.
Off to make a cup of blaaaaaack tea Taylors of Harrogate's Tea Room Blend

Thanks ! I also tried the white tea peach, really good as well. I used to buy this in bags a couple of years ago (couldn't find them anymore later on), but this is definitely a lot better than the teabags! My sister had a cup of the Strawberry Cream, and she liked it.

Imagine me and you, I do
I think about you day and night, it's only right
To think about the girl you love and hold her tight
So happy together

Good morning, all! We're starting the day with 'his and her's' cups of Ahmad English Breakfast tea, and bowls of miso soup and rice. Bright and sunny outside, not too awful cold and the streets are dry so we'll take a ride today. There is a small museum of Japanese tea bowls that I last visited about 20 years ago, and would like to re-visit. The lasting impression I had from the first visit was that most of these priceless tea bowls looked exactly like the clay bowls young children make in summer camps! I have one my son made for me with he was about 8 years old... looks quite like the ones they sell here for $200,000.00 Something is not right...

Beppe, my friend... I'm not exactly sure how to tell you this...
The writing on your new 'Japanese' cup.... it's Chinese. I had my wife double check for me, as the Japanese do use many Chinese characters that they 'borrowed' when making their written language, but the one's on your new cup are definitely Chinese. Sorry.

Yes, it is from NBT. They were the first tea importer to show up in my search when I went looking for Georgian Old Gentleman.

Having never tried anything from NBT I thought a general spread would be fun to try. I've tasted a few before, but never as imported by NBT.

Noisy eating and drinking are the norm in many parts of Asia. Loudly 'slurping' noodles as you suck them up from out of the bowl cools them down. Sloshing tea around your mouth, as you said, coats the taste buds as well as cools down the water.

I think most of Twinings is pretty dull in comparison with other Tea Houses. The only one I still enjoy is their Prince of Wales, and even that is just a 'second shelf' tea. Tastes good in the mouth, but has no lasting flavor.

Doesn't this go along with;

"I am not now, nor have I ever been, a member of any group or organization that plans, plots, or theorizes the violent overthrow of... etc., etc.

"Mr.Chairman... I have no memory of that." (Said in my best Ollie voice. )

I left the States over 20 years ago, and have only been back a couple of times. As for news... I try not to watch it. They never have anything positive to say. I can't see any reason to make myself unhappy about the political shenanigans in Somestanistan.

In the 70's, the Silva organization tried to start a newspaper with only positive news. I subscribed. It died a grim death in less than a year.

yeah, my folks were news addicts, well TV addicts in general. actually my Mom, not so much my Dad. since I have been reading the news online I pretty much refuse to watch regular news broadcasts unless it is a 9/11 sort of deal. the last few times I visited my folks I would leave the room when the news was on. Mom would ask if I didn't want to watch it and I would tell her what was coming up as I had already read it and didn't feel the need to put myself through further agony
