![]() I advised someone at work to drink some ginger in hot water, as he had an upset stomach. I read it somewhere on the forum. I think it was Stichawl, who seems to be a bit of a knowledgeable man with herbs and stuff. ![]() In my cup: hold Arabica-coffee. |

It's the one I mentioned yesterday:
http://smittenkitchen.com/2011/02/bl...live-oil-cake/ Very rich and moist, my husband loved it (I told him to go bring some to his parents, and he refused, saying there wouldn't be enough for him)! It is a bit heavy, though. I used the store bought olive oil, maybe next time I'll try half store-bought and half home-made. |

My god I think I have found a Chinese Green Tea that I like. I am trying Rishi's Jade Cloud and I really, really like it. It is a totally different taste then the Japanese Greens but it is nothing like the Gunpowder Greens and the other Chinese Greens that I have had. It is almost like ahybrid.
Really yummy. hmmmm I sense my next tea order, in like 4 months, going mainly to Rishi as I try out some new stuff. |

I went to the tea shop and spent almost an hour in company of the very kind owner. I got out with:
1 Tokoname teapot that I will use for Sencha 4 white metal boxes 50 grams of Oolong in small dry balls that i tasted and found absolutely fantastic, just one dry ball. 50 grams of Lapacho (+ Lemon & Orange pieces, that or something even worst. I got that and eventually it was given for free to me: I think she wants me to be a returning costumer, why not if to her extravagant prices it corresponds a noticeable higher quality. I will see this with the Oolong that I already have. Than I might be tempted to let myself be allured in buying from her more tea, like the Sencha, I will see) The teas I am drinking and how to brew them and how to improve my approach was examined. We spent most of my time there discussing which teapots I wanted/needed. Several were examined and discussed. She gave me her opinion on several issues of tea brewing that had raised my curiosity. I will make some experiment and dutifully report if anything of interest comes out. We looked at cups also. Some Japanese cups that I already have seem very adequate, both as shape and as design. She has 2 that I liked. My interest has awaken. I might have an excuse to go back. It is just a small detour going to the station from work, although it is right in the middle of downtown and the rent for that tiny shop must be a killer that she wants to share with customers. |
