It doesn't

Actually, that's not a half bad idea. When the Mac v. Windoze subject comes up, it gets moved off into religion... iPad v. Kindle? Yep, religion.

I think they'd be too contentious for the Politics and Religion group.

Rather in-depth review of the new 7" Samsung Android Tablet

http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/01/s...xy-tab-review/

Steve Jobs gets mentioned a few times because of the topic of this thread. Which is to say this thread's topic gets worked into the Engadget review.

Interesting conclusion at the end of the review. Essentially the 7" form factor is determined to be nice, but the lack of apps for Android able to take advantage of the additional 7" screen real estate is judged to be holding back the users' experience on Android Tablets.

In other words it is not a case of is Steve Jobs right or wrong, it is a case of iPad developers are much further ahead in the software-for-tablet life cycle because they have Software Development Kits with a tablet in mind and Google is still working on a good SDK for tablet-sized screens.

Well written review (my opinion), and includes a link to Hugo Barra (director at Google)
http://www.engadget.com/2010/09/10/g...t-form-factor/
going on record back in September as saying Android 2.2 is not ready for tablets.

The above would have ramifications for the Nook Color, obviously, because developers at B&N would be missing the same SDK.

I liked the bit where the reviewer, Joanna Stern, mentions the Engadget Android app does not scale well either!
