You should be fine so long as you are not very near sighted or like to read with the Kindle in your lap.

(you may need a tinfoil cup in that case.)

Im not entirely convinced that if you sat with an electronic device on your lap for 5 hrs aday, you would live shorter than a person who did not. People live long past their life expectancy these days anyway, don't worry too much about it.

Since the transmitters are probably similar to that of a cellphone...+ u don't put the kindle on your face to talk to it>>>mobile radiation.factsheet

Reminds me of National Lampoons Christmas Vacation, where Cousin Eddy describes the metal plate in his head and says everytime his wife turns on the microwave he pisses his pants and forgets where he is (or some such thing)

Yep, that's the one... we named our dish-washer that shortly before it completely gave up for very similar reasons.
