Haven't been at FW for a long time... Around 100% of the books I'd love to have are restricted.

Me too.

Lately I rediscovered Sony's offer and Amazon's. But I'm trying not to use Amazon too much, because I have a bunch of Kindle books to read and well, no use adding some others

I bought my first Kindle book last week! I'd have been a bit bothered if it had been a topaz book, but I just had to have that book. Luckily, it turned out to be mobipocket so it was de-drm'd in a flash and put on my reader

And Geoff, the books I generally want aren't available in multiformat.

To be precise, I should have said that I would have spent the money on paper books just the same. The advantage of ebooks over paper books here is that paperbooks are much more expensive, so with the same amount of money I get more books/texts (call it like you want; it's high time we find a name for the reading material that doesn't actually depend on the support and use it extensively) and save space. Which in my case is important, because I already am flooded with a large working library I need, and anything else is forcefully cornered.

I have purchased 130 books from December 2009 to date, including 4 this week!

That old poll is useless since it doesn't tell how many people actually have ereaders.

Many people still read ebooks on iphone, ipod, ipad, pc, netbooks etc and many of them buy ebooks.
