HTML Comments convert disable
Hallo,
I want to use calibre comment section for my own memory of HTML pages (that I have), but the comments_to_html function (calibre/src/calibre/library/comments.py) destroy my HTML with a special understanding of HTML.

Its possible to make a switch to disable this transformation in the settings?

Maybe there is also good HTML editors, that can be inserted?

Add your own Custom 'comments type' column. That way regular Calibre usage will not update it.

Hallo,

thank You. I try this and it show me the HTML in the comment. Its ok for the moment, but a real HTML Editor would be nicer

By the way, if you give the user in the settings the possibility to switch off a default function, that will not update the normal Calibre usage.

I am not sure what the issue is. There are 2 tabs at the bottom of all 'comments type'
Also note: You can show/hide 'toolbars'. Right-click in the text area
