Convert HTML to MOBI (HTML recognized as ZIP file)

I have saved a text file into HTML using Word.

But when I tried to import the file in Calibre (File type set to HTML),
it is recognized as ZIP file.

Subsequently, I can't seem to convert the HTML to MOBI.

Is this a known issue? (bug?)

Is there a way I can address this?

It isn't "recognized" as a ZIP, Calibre only imports HTML into a ZIP file, since one HTML book may be made up of several files. To keep all files in one container, they are collated into a ZIP. Just choose the ZIP as a conversion source and you should be fine.
