PB627 power problem
I have an old Pocketbook (PB627) which is generally working fine and I use it every day. It has recently developed a power problem. I once replaced the screen on another Pocketbook and after that experience am reluctant to try replacing the battery, so I am wondering if there might be anything else I could try.
Symptoms: charges quite quickly, battery use in normal use is a bit worse than it used to be but manageable. But when not in use - overnight - it suddenly drops from say 70% to zero, and needs rechargeing to boot in the morning. Wifi is off, backlighting is mostly on but low, and I have experimented with changing the 'power off after' setting but it seems to make no difference. It has a magnetic sleep cover which seems to work fine. Are there any other settings I should be experimenting with? Thanks for any advice... |
