Glo HD Power On Problem

My Glo HD wakes up from sleep mode just fine but...If I power it off (to save the battery) I have a hard time getting it to power on again. The User Guide for this model says to press the power button for 2 seconds to turn it on. When I do this, the red light on top comes on, but the screen doesn't change. Repeated presses finally wake the reader up, but sometimes it takes 10 minutes of fiddling around. Plugging it into an adapter or the USB on my Mac has no effect when the reader is powered off (unlike my Sony readers which power up immediately). Any suggestions other than never turning it off?

Try waiting a little longer after you press the button the first time. Can't speak directly to the Glo HD, but often there is no change on the screen to indicate that anything is going on for a bit after you press the button. It's possible you're turning it off again, and sometimes that will induce a delay before you can try turning it on again and leave you in the "no start" loop you're in.

You are so right! I waited as you suggested and it turned on after a bit. I guess I was actually turning it off again, just as you said. Thank you!
