Books not transferring since 8.0.1 upgrade

Hello, folks!

A few days ago, I upgraded to the 8.0.1 version of Calibre. After installation, I tried to sideload some books from Calibre to my Kobo (an Aura One, which is still going strong!). However, when I opened up my Kobo, the software didn't show the books as being available. And when I hooked my Kobo back up to Calibre, Calibre didn't see the books as being on the Kobo either. But if I opened up the Kobo in File Explorer, the new books were there, in their author folders, just like the books that the Kobo did recognize.

I tried restarting my computer, and the Kobo. I uninstalled Calibre and reinstalled it. I copied a book from my Kobo to my desktop and made sure that I could open the file. (I could.) I even factory reset the Kobo. Someone on Reddit suggested that I needed to fiddle with some of the settings since the upgrade was Kobo-specific, but nothing that I've done with those settings that seemed like it might help has done anything.

None of these things have allowed me to add any new books to my Kobo. Is there someone else who has this problem, or does anyone have an idea that might resolve the issue?

Is the date / time correct?

What location is configure in the driver configuration for book storage? (With device connected click on arrow besides Device and select "Configure this device" and look at "Save Template").

What formats are configured to be sent? (Same screen)

If it's easier just post screen shots of all the config screens.

When you disconnect the device does it go through an importing new content stage?

The date and time on the Kobo is correct. I don't know where date/time might be in Calibre.

This is what my Save Template information looks like:

{author_sort}/{title} - {authors}

I have kepub, epub, pdf, txt, cbz, and cbr all checked to be sent.

Do you meant the formats to be sent? Yes; everything I have tried to send has been an epub or a kepub.

Heck if I know what happened. But I plugged in the Kobo to check on PeterT's questions, and then I unplugged it, and the books that I'd put in previously suddenly appeared!

I have no idea what happened, but something did.

Thank you very much, PeterT and theducks!
