PW5 Recompliation of Python on Kindle, Sox Media Player and SkipStone

If we recomplie these think of the advantages:

1. Python on Kindle

We can run run Python scripts!

2. Sox Media Player:

We can play songs/music/audiobooks!

3. SkipStone:

We have another browser to use!

Can anyone do this?

P.S. Why is MobileRead's interface old-looking?

You're asking an incredibly specialised question. If there's anyone here who can answer it, they might not check in every day. Repeated bumps to this thread won't help.

You need a cross-compilation toolchain with a dozen of packages added to build Python.

Another annoying thing is that you would also need a bunch of other packages to make Python useful (pip, wheel, venv...)

Probably the simplest way to get Python is to use a full Linux in chroot environment, that already has Python. It works well for running scripts, but will be less integrated (e.g. no Python-based KUAL extensions...)
