integers vs comma seperated text, like tags custom columns
Hello,
I'm making a chapter custom column and I'm not sure which option to select. Are there downsides to use "comma separated text, like tags, shown in the tag browser" compared to using just integers? I assumed the stuff showing up in the tag browser would use more database resources? Thanks, Amalthia |

Personally, I used integers for my #chaptercount column.
They take up the same amount of database resources. Integer column is for numbers. If you think you may want to use arithmetic on the numbers in the future, use Integer. You can put numbers in a text column, but there it'll be more treated like a string of characters. The main disadvantage is that it may not sort the way you expect. |
