QWERTY keyboard for Onyx Note—any good?
It looks so great here, with the Note Air.
But are such keyboards any good? I own a Sony tablet with keyboard, and my grip with that is the 3-4 second loading time from I first click a button till the first letter appears on screen. From there onwards it behaves proper. |

I was wondering about that, as well. It's clearly for the Note Air, and it looks to be a perfect fit. If I get the Air, I'll probably also get that keyboard. It looks to be exactly what I would need. |

I just hope it's quick and nimble and stays connected: that we won't have to go thru the cumbersome process of pairing every damn time.
The Sony Z4 with keyboard is like that. Slow seconds on startup, and they've done it that way to save battery. If the Onyx prioritizes speed instead of battery life, we've got a winner. Last edited by norweger; 09-29-2020 at 05:04 PM. |

I mean it's available on their Amazon store. Who's gonna bite the bullet and review it for us?

I've got an eerie feeling we'll have to go through loops and hoops every darn time we want to jot something down

Looking forward to the first QWERTY review. In case there's no-one else, I will prolly buy the Note3 and QWERTY keyboard in January, and write a review ITT.

Here, boys. We've got a review. Lisa Gade from Mobile Tech Review.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jSb...youtu.be&t=201 The fit. I plan to get a 10 inch Onyx, and I thought the keyboard would fit, but alas. It's smaller than the device, so when it's closed shut it looks like a laptop with a too long screen, jutting out beyond the keyboard. Landscape mode typing. The gal from Tech Review didn't manage to type in landscape mode in the native app, only in OneNote (or some other MS app). It's a bit strange, she didn't mangage in the native. I assume it's possible at least in split screen - as that's forced landscape. And I would've liked to see how good it is to type when the Onyx is in speed mode. I assume the letters would pop up pretty quickly after pressing the keys. How long time it takes to connect, that is crucial for me, and it wasn't a word about it in the review. Still I am considering getting such a keyboard. |
