Calibre Search Problems, Please Help!

Firstly, I admit this may all be operator error, please help me find the error.

I am having search problems when adding books to calibre. Initially, I specifically had to select "epub" in the file type window in the lower right corner of the dialog box. Epub files should show up in a search when using calibre's default selection.

Recently, I just updated windows to the May 2020 version. Now when I search for books, the results only show folders not files. When I perform the same searches within windows explorer, everything works file.

In short, I only have this problem within the calibre "add books" dialog.

Please help, I just cannot figure this out.

works for me, however, you can just do the search in windows explorer and drag and drop the results onto the calibre book list to add them instead.
