Question Can I fetch the highlights of any ebook in Kindle and write it to Calibre?

Is there a way to fetch my highlights of an ebook on Kindle and write it to Calibre? Or even better embed it in the original file that lives in the Calibre library?

There is no Calibre feature or plug-in that does that, that I know of.

However, there is a utility called Kindle Mate that can do a lot of things with Kindle highlights, notes and vocabulary features:

Thanks, that sounds really promising. In the beginning, I thought it does not make sense to add it as a comment in Calibre, but as there is obviously the opportunity to format the highlights nicely it might be a good alternative solution.
