Calibre ePubs in Books (Catalina)
Hi,
I use calibre to manage my library (edit metadata, update covers etc..) and to convert my books into epubs which I then load into the Books app on my Mac and then onto my iPad. Convoluted but the system works for the time being. Since upgrading to Catalina I can no longer import the books I have converted into the Books app. The files initially appear without covers and when clicked say the cannot be opened because the book is corrupted. I can categorically say the files are not corrupted. Apple support said something about them trying to download a 32 bit application... I am using the latest version of calibre. Suggestions? Thanks |

Not much anyone can do until Apple decides to fix Books. use some other software instead.

Apparently its a problem with Books in catalina not liking some internal file naming schemes, see: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/250717809
