Prior to iOS 13, I was able to email myself either plain .epub files or Kobo-specific .kepub.epub files (as produced by Calibre), and, when I accessed the message with the attachment, I was given the option of opening the attachment (that is, the ebook) with the Kobo app. Now, that option doesn't show up anymore (opening with Apple Books, BlueFire reader, and, bizarrely, the Kindle app do show up). Is this happening to anyone else? Thanks!

I believe someone posted that iOS 13 changed the style sheet or whatever is used to pass the file through.

Kobo had no suggestion at the time. I think they said it would be updated.

Of course currently the kobo app just crashes for me which I’d be frustrated with if I used it. I’m honestly not sure why I have it installed.
