full screen preview panel
sigil v 0.9.14 running on win 10.
I'm not usually this thick... my only excuse is being new to sigil. installed... opened as expected: three vertical panes. All OK so far. In the course of exploring I managed to do something and now I have the preview panel full screen. If I open any of the other panes it simply opens on top of it. The new panes I can resize in the usual way, or drag about, but I cannot 'reach' the sides of the full screen on in order to move/resize. Oh and they randomly become horizontal panels if you double-click on the top borders. Is this normal? I uninstalled and re-installed in the hope of getting the original format back but no luck. |

I'm not sure it's actually possible to make a dockwidget go full-screen. Are you certain you can't grab the top of the window and drag it down and over far enough to get a hold of a side to resize it? |

Weird. I've never had a widget go true full-screen on me before. I'm always able to grab the top bar and move it left/right/up/down (even if it moves some parts off-screen).
If worse comes to worse, you could manually edit the sigil.ini preference file to reset all the widgets/toolbars to their defaults. Or if you don't have much in the way of customization, you could just delete the sigil.ini file completely and start over. The sigil.ini file is found in the Sigil Preferences folder. If you don't want to delete it entirely, you could remove the three lines that begin with: maximized= geometry= toolbars= They can be found under the [mainwindow] section. The last two will be incredibly long bytearrays. More than likely you'll be able to delete everything from (and including) "maximized=" down to (but exluding) [preferences_dialog] . Just make sure Sigil isn't open when you delete the ini file, or when you edit/save it, if that's what you decide. Last edited by DiapDealer; 07-02-2019 at 02:42 PM. |

@freemp31 - the common/standard way out of true full screen is the Esc key.
But it sounds like the PV window is 'over' sized, that's happened to me with other software. What happens if you press Alt+space? The Window menu should pop, with Move, Minimise, Maximise etc. Try selecting Move, then move the window down and to the right with the arrow keys until you can the top and left edges. Hit return and resize with mouse BR |
