Please connect to PC message with Aura HD

Hi all,

I'm stumped. I've been enjoying my Aura One for quite a while now. I decided to boot up my old Aura HD but the battery was empty.

I connected it to my computer and a black "Restoring" screen was on for a while and then it switched over to the graphic showing that it needed to be connected to a PC. Well it was connected but nothing was happening.

I unplugged it from one USB and tried another. Then it went through the same cycle, restoring and then saying connect to a PC.

I'm not sure what to do at this point.

Do any of you have an idea where to go from here?

Well apparently tryin the power button for a long press worked wonders and it booted up finally though I had to set it up again as if it were a new reader.

What you described sounds normal for a Kobo device that has been through a factory reset and powered off before doing the setup. It displays a screen to tell you to connect to the PC. They assume you will start the desktop application to do the setup. But, if you turn it on, it will take you through the setup and you get a choice of WiFi or PC setup.
