I have the Sony Reader 505 and so does a friend - how can I have books I have purchased and she has purchased on my reader at the same time. I am new to this stuff so be gentle...Thanks, Candy

I believe you can unregister a device from one Connect account and register it to the other. So in theory you and your friend can register both of your Readers to the same account, and read the same books. The books purchased on the other account will become unavailable until the Reader is back, registered to that account.

As far as I know, there is no other way to share books with other Reader owners. And if there had been ways, I am not sure this forum is the place to discuss such ways.

Take a look at this thread where the possibility of sharing books via SD card is discussed. Maybe that will be an option for you if the books are non-DRM.

So it seems that if I go into the actual .lrx file and modify the Content Key to my number instead of my friends I still cannot get the book to load at the same time. I will try the SD Card when I get back in the US and see if that works. Luckily I have one PC authorized to her account and another to mine so I just have to de-authorize the actual reader.
