Error merging libraries
Hello,
I was merging (select all, copy to) a Calibre library of about 17000 books with another of about 5000 books and I get this error: calibre, version 2.48.0 ERRORE: Non riuscito: Impossibile copiare i libri: SQLError: no such savepoint: _apsw-0 Traceback (most recent call last): File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\actions\copy_to_library.py", line 111, in run File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\actions\copy_to_library.py", line 133, in doit File "site-packages\calibre\gui2\actions\copy_to_library.py", line 172, in _doit File "site-packages\calibre\db\legacy.py", line 243, in import_book File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 1548, in add_books File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 57, in call_func_with_lock File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 1519, in create_book_entry File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 1320, in set_metadata File "site-packages\calibre\db\cache.py", line 231, in reload_from_db SQLError: SQLError: no such savepoint: _apsw-0 What this mean? I solved the problem by copying books at 1000 each time. Thanks, bye. Gianni |

It means sqlite ran out of resources processing a single very large transaction. AS you discovered best to do very large jobs in batches.
