What is going on with Sigil? You can't edit your preferences on it anymore such as setting SINGLE LINE SPACING, DEFAULT FONT and CHARACTER SPACING, you can't integrate your CCS files with your html files so that the style you choose goes into the chapter you're doing anymore! You can't select multiple pictures/html files you need to delete, and you have to add pictures from your computers files now instead of simply choking a picture that's already in the book! They've totally sent the entire program down the toilet for a few lousy Bob! They need to put it back to the way it used to be, either that or make a different ePub editing software you can download that you CAN do everything I've said with! I can't make head nor tail or Sigil anymore! And it's unfair! Last edited by Lesley8000; 12-13-2015 at 10:58 PM. |

I do just about everything you state with the latest OFFICIAL release (9.1) BTW Single spacing? Code view has always put a blank line between Tag sets, that is for the programmer and has ZERO effect on the rendering of the book

Since every single statement in the OP is categorically wrong... including the one where, I think it is being suggested that the Sigil developers sold out for money -- really? incentive, please -- who exactly is paying the Sigil developers for the sole purpose of maliciously ruining the program... I am inclined to think this is spam. Actually, I am reminded of this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=263035 Last edited by eschwartz; 12-14-2015 at 12:06 AM. |

Perhaps there are people selling crappy Sigil imitations? Though it boggles the mind how an MR member could fall for that...

Oh... right... All I saw was the fact that it is the OP's first post. Didn't notice the join date. I suppose I could arguably call cluelessness a type of spam... Whatever. It is ridiculous enough I don't really care what else it is. |

Well, both posters' style is very similar for sure... Anyway, they have been pointed in the right direction by theducks, so this should be it. |

Oh yeah. This came as a surprise to KevinH. He wants to know how much money he made, and where it all went to. |

It was $50,000. He spent most of that money on women and drink. Like a fool, he squandered the rest.

Maybe it was a drunk post? Or maybe Lesley paid some guy a few Bob for some software that is calling itself Sigil. Definitely not a problem with the current real version of Sigil. |

Hi Lesley8000, Please let me know what version of Sigil you are using and more importantly where (what website) you downloaded it from. Downloading Sigil from someplace else other than an official Linux distributor site, or the Sigil official site (on Windows or Mac) is never going to be a good idea. There are direct links to official versions from right here in the Sigil forum on MR. Preferences still work, importing html with stylesheets still works, css sheets work, you can delete multiple files of any type in BookBrowser by simply highlighting them and right clicking and selecting delete, etc. From time to time some features have been broken but we typically find and fix those asap. So please retry with either the latest Sigil 0.9.1 or the previous stable version Sigil-0.8.6 and let us know if you run into difficulties. So if you have a version of Sigil that does not do these things, and worse yet paid for it, you have been ripped off and should probably start a quite up-to-date malware and virus scanner on your system to make sure what you downloaded did not come with extra nasty surprises. The latest Sigil news and links can always be found here in the Sigil forum on Mobileread or via our homepage at http://sigil-ebook.com or at our developer site https://github.com/Sigil-Ebook/Sigil. And Sigil is truly free as in no cost. Hope this helps, KevinH Quote:
