Word wise only available on last modle ,such as pw2,kindle7 ,voyage.Is there any possible to use word wise on pw1?

No. WordWise requires a Kindle Language Layer database (kll.en.en.klld) that Amazon introduced with the 5.6.x firmware, which is not available for PW1 Kindles.
I.e., unless Amazon releases another PW1 update you're out of luck.

I think it's hopeless with it, Amazon always forget old models while lastest models released.. K3\4\Ts never get firmware updating after Amazon announced paperwhite, now it comes to pw1.:/

You have a very short memory. Both the Kindle Touch and the Kindle 3 received significant firmware upgrades after the release of the PW.

It is, however, true that Amazon typically only provides one or two significant firmware upgrades for devices that have already been surpassed by multiple new models -- the PW1 and Touch are both far enough in the past that you can be quite confident Amazon will no longer backport new features to these old models.

@gebederry: BTW, Amazon added Word Wise to the latest version of the Android Kindle app (4.11.0). However, it's of limited value, since it won't work with side-loaded books.

I was also wondering and asked on Kindle support chat. The response I got is as follows:

Word Wise is available for 1st gen PW
Word Wise comes w/ 5.6.1.1 update. Be careful before updating though. It breaks up to date jailbreak-1.14, and thus usbnet-0.18 installations, which seem to be impossible to recover.

You might be able to recover the jailbreak. If it works, you'll need to reinstall all .bin files with the MobileRead Package Installer.

If it doesn't work, ask for assistance in the Jailbreak thread.

PW1 users who haven't installed the latest firmware are strongly advised to install the latest jailbreak on top of the existing jailbreak before updating the firmware.

@oumlaut -- Did you say it breaks the 1.14 jailbreak? JB v1.13 includes Gandalf for elevating to root on the 5.6.x firmware, do you mean there is another problem???
