Open Blinkbox books

I have used Calibre for some time with my Kindle Paperwhite and Kobo Touch. I have recently bought s Hudl 2 tablet, which comes with a Blinkbox reader for downloading books from Blinkbox.

Although Calibre doesn't recognise the Hudl 2 tablet, I can copy the Blinkbox books, which are in epub format, from the Hudl to Calibre, and they do list in the library.

However, if I click on a Blinkbox book in the library it gives an error 'Zip file is encrypted'.

Is there any way to get Blinkbox books into Calibre in a readable and convertible format?

Many thanks for any help.

It looks like Blinkbox is using its own encryption scheme, so you won't be able to convert or edit the books in calibre.

I don't know of any tools that remove Blinkbox encryption. Personally I wouldn't buy any DRMed ebooks where I couldn't remove the DRM. What happens if Tesco decides to abandon Blinkbox Books?

Agreed. I've bought many books from Amazon because it is usually easy to remove the DRM. If I couldn't remove the infestation I would buy from another source.
