Fast Scroller!!

Quote:
Enable the "fast scroller" on the booklist, grouping pane, and the book grid. This is a rectangle that appears when you scroll the list, which you can grab and move to scroll much more quickly.
I strongly suggest that the Quote Fast scroller Unquote default setting be disabled.
It took me fifteen minutes to find how to disable it, almost as irritating as the up swipe in google search.

I don't agree. If it were off then nobody would find it. With it on, everyone will see it and those that don't like it, like you, can shut it off.

For me, the real question is why it took so long to find the set of options. Is the wording in the option group description unclear? What went wrong there?

The only way that I knew the behavior I was seeing was not a bug was by checking the change log here at Mobileread. What was happening was I would scroll, lift my thumb move it down, and find that I had jumped unexpectedly two or tree hundred books. Very frustrating.

Yes.
If I had not checked the change log I would never have connected the behavior I was seeing to the setting menu option Scroller Thumbs.
