Problems adding books
I just upgraded to the latest edition of Calibre. I have over 1,000 books on my computer, but when I try to add them to my Calibre library, it only seems to add PDF books, or else it is automatically converting the added books to PDF format. I do not want it to do that - I would rather have my PDF'd stay PDF's, and my EPUBs stay EPUBs. Why is it doing what it is doing? Since I have so many books, I am trying to get it to simply add all books in my folders and sub-folders, but as I said, everything is showing up in my library as a PDF file.

Someone must have modified the preferences as this is not default behavior.
For a normal add: Preferences: Adding books: (the add process tab) remove the tick next to Automatically convert... If you use the Auto add folder Preferences: Adding books: (the automatic adding tab) remove the tick next to Automatically convert... Tick the formats to IGNORE (don't auto-add) |
