Lightbulb Quick access to backlit brightness

Hi,

Don't know when this was introduced, but on fw v3.1.1 on the Glo, you can now access the screen brightness setting by pressing the sun icon that appears in the top right. One less press!

Cheers,
Pete

Is it just me, or does Kobo seem to be listening and fixing things a lot more lately?

Just you perhaps. I have gotten new or reappearing undocumented features at a faster rate than fixes. I have become more accepting of them overall, as I do think they are trying. I am pretty sure they have been trying all along, just possibly lacking in expertise or direction.

I wish them the best of luck.

Thanks for the info, I like the new quick access to brightness on my Glo.

After invoking the quick light menu I was also notified that I could adjust the brightness by swiping up/down whilst reading, I tried this but I couldn't get it to work on my Glo, anyone have any luck with this?.

That's for Kobo Aura.

Sorry, as owly said, the swipe to change brightness is Aura only... Although since the Glo uses swipes to navigate the library, it is technically feasible to implement?

Anyway, it's a lucky find, as I'd just been updated to 3.1.1, and inadvertly pressed the sun icon when opening the top menu. Wonder if that was implemented in 3.1.0, since they published the wrong changelog?
