From Kindle to iLiad?

Hello everybody:
I have a question for the gurus. For several reasons is very possible that I have a Kindle and a iLiad. I love the iLiad more than Kindle and it will be my main ebook but having the possibility of get Kindle books is what makes me wonder.
Can I transfer the Kindle books to the iLiad? I guess that I will need to use some script or something like that. But, Is this software available rigth now?
I made several searches in google and in the forums but it is not clear to me this point.
Thanks a lot for your time.

As far as I know: No.

Thats the reason why Amazon developed the kindle first place. Before the Kindle they were discussing on using the iLiad as their e-reader. But they decided against it, since the iLiad is open to development. So with it customers would have been able to extract documents out of it. So they developed their own closed device...

Actually, someone here has already moved from the Kindle to an Iliad. Here is what we know:

TPZ ebooks with this suffix cannot be converted
AZW with a file name made of numbers probably doesn't have DRM, and only needs to be renamed
AZW with a file name made of letters probably does have DRM, and the DRM will need to be removed

I may be confused. Do you simply want to read Kindle books on the iLiad, or do you want to copy from the Kindle directly to the iLiad without a computer?

I would add that Kindle books which do not offer samples (on the Amazon Kindle website) seem to not have drm and can be read on Iliad by changing the .azw suffix to .prc

To buy Kindle books you must own a Kindle.

drm can be removed from azw files to make them Iliad compatible but as our 37th President said: "You could do it ....but it would be wrong."

See Mobipocket Decoder Tool. You may also need kindlepid.py (Amazon Kindle Hack: Read DRM-protected Mobipocket content!) to find your PID. The resulting DRM free MOBI file will be readable by MobiPocket Reader on the iLiad, but FBReader wil only read it if it uses standard compression. For DRM-free MobiPocket crompressed MOBI files, I find the easiest way to format shift them is mobi2oeb, although this does not produce an OEB file that works in FBReader (just read the resulting HTML file directly instead).
