Calibre Library Questions
Hello all! I was just wondering if I could ask a question about Calibre.
I have an Amazon Kindle Fire and love it! I use Calibre and have just downloaded the newest version. I have a bunch (and when I say bunch I mean a whole hell of a lot) of books on my Kindle. I'd like to remove all of them from my Kindle except for say about 10 books or so that I'd want to read in the next few months. Is there a way to mass delete the books from the device without having to click "remove from device" on each and every one? I'd like to choose which 10 or so I want to keep and get rid of everything else. Surely this is an easy procedure. I have the master file of all of the books I got from my friend so i could swap out titles as I read them. Any and all help will be much appreciated! Thanks! Dave |

You could do a Reset from the Settings / Device Menu and then re-register your unit. That will clear everything off.
Since you've started this thread on Calibre, could you tell us what it does? Lots of folks mention it but I've never used it. I just read my eBooks purchased from Amazon without any alterations. Last edited by sirmaru; 10-19-2013 at 07:07 PM. |

You should be able to just select them all (mass select) through your Calibre library, right click, and say delete from device. I have done it outside Calibre (going to the docs folder) but sometimes Calibre doesn't catch the deletion.

You should be able to click on the first title you want to delete, then holding down the CTRL key, continue to click on titles to delete. Once all are highlighted (selected), right click and select "remove from device". If the titles are all together, you can click on the first one, hold down the shift key, and click on the last one and all the ones in between will be highlighted. Then, right click and choose "remove from device". (Windows instructions...may be different on Apple products).
