getting rid of opf and jpeg files
Hello Everyone
Is there a way that when I add a book (epub) file to calibre that it just adds the epub and not put it in a file with a opf and jpeg file. Thank you in advance for your help Stephen |

No. You cannot affect the way Calibre stores books in its internal Library file storage (there is a sticky covering this).
A copy of the cover is stored outside the eBook file as not all eBook formats support the storing of covers. The .opf file is used to keep copies of the metadata So that if the Calibre database gets corrupted it is possible to rebuild it from the .opf lies. |
