Hi,
I'm trying to install prs+ to my PRS-505. I found some problems 'cause the e-reader I have is bought at UK and software seems uncompatible, so then I updated the firmware such tells at this link: http://www.lectoreselectronicos.com/...ware-PRS-1-1-3 I could update the firmware, 'cause the version number changed from 1.2.00.18050 to 1.2.00.18040, so then I putted the PRS version to the internal memory (unzipped the PRSPInstaller on root): http://code.google.com/p/prs-plus/do...505_2.0.18.zip I unplugged the USB cord and it apeared the icon of updating but notthing happened, after a 10 minutes I turned off and turned on again to see what happened, also happened the same. So then I tried to do a hardreset, 'cause I have read that if happens that is maybe there's some corrupt file, I tried to do that but when appeared the screen to press 5 to reset it freezed and don't allowed me to cancel nor continue, simply freezed on this screen. I wait several minutes about some action from the reader but no chance ![]() So then I reset again, pushed the reset button few seconds and then the turning on button a few seconds more, the e-reader restarted and now it appears the message "Reader starting up..." and BBeBbook and adobePDF logos. I tried to do the action of reset several seconds on pushing reset button and turning on button, but the behaviour is the same ![]() tried to plug the ereader to USB during the reboots, without plugging it on it but no way to access to internal memory. also I tried that: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...47&postcount=4 I downloaded the firmware and it said that was up to date, but with the modified updater I could reinstall the firmware. It reinstalls, but on turning on it still freezes on "Reader starting up..." some time that could access to internal memory could see that there's the PRSInstall folder there, but could not delete it, I tried to delete the .js that do the installation but the problem is still there :/ Some clue please? Thanks you much Last edited by Blackhold; 06-01-2012 at 09:11 PM. |
